Thoughts about the topic

The Project outline seems very broad and requires the team to make various decision on the amount of history which is to be shown in the animation sequence, this is so that the intended outcome is achieved which is to show what happened on from the lead up to until the actual bombing of pearl harbor.

The project is very large in the sense of a lot of modeling needs to be completed, therefore the sequence has to contain sufficient elements to achieve the intended effect that will be generated. Also thoughts on what type of animation should be created for example the animation could have more of a cartoon effect like the game Medal of Honor Rising Sun made by EA Games which shows the event from a various point of views which could be incorporated in this project with correct referencing. On the other hand the animation and models could be created to have a real affect to them which not only may change the viewers perception of the final sequence but also the final outcome may have a better effect and the animation could fit together effectively.

This then leads onto the things for consideration as a group towards the animation itself because the intended outcome needs to be figured out before any planning  can be started so that ideas can be generated which ultimately lead to the intended outcome of the sequence. Things to consider apart from the realness of the animation is the accuracy of the animation from the environmental location of the historic event to the actual instruments used in relations to planes, Warships, guns and even uniform to make the final outcome achieve its maximum potential.

Another thing to consider for this project is the length of the animation because once what scenes have been identified and will be added to the final story line the key elements need to be identified so that the team can recognize what is to be left out of the sequence so that it stays to the point and doesn’t loose the attention of the audience and still contains the effects which are required to make the animation sequence look and appear accurate and real.

This then leads to the level of research which is required to reach the level of accuracy proposed so for example the right plane models and warships used in the time may be required if the decision of the project is to be as realistic and accurate as possible or research into what alternatives could be implemented to try and create the same sort of effect.

Also the type of research which will be conducted will be mainly secondary for this project for copy right reasons so once the secondary research has been carried out the appropriate referencing needs to be carried out so that the correct sources can be credited for the information which was used for this project. The referencing will also show in this project that the right amount of research and thinking has been taken into account for this project.
